JURY

Carlo Gallo is a film and theater actor. He is one of the founders of the Teatro della Maruca company and the eponymous OFF space, the first, in the city of Crotone. A graduate of the Civica Accademia d'Arte Drammatica Nico Pepe in Udine, he has been recovering oral memories for several years on the streets, ports, factories, markets and countryside, a unique heritage that lives only in the direct thread that passes from mouth to ear. As a result of this research, he wrote and performed the shows "Bollari: Memories from the Ionian Sea," a poignant story of Calabrian fishermen in the late 1930s with the artistic collaboration of Peppino Mazzotta, and "'N cielo e 'n terra."
In 2019, he collaborated on "Primo fuoco" of the Trenodia project conceived by Vinicio Capossela, creating a 4-voice polyphony on Franco Costabile's "Il canto dei nuovi emigranti."
In cinema, he was directed by Emanuele Crialese in the film "L'immensità," in competition at the 79th Venice International Film Festival (2022). He also worked with Mimmo Calopresti in the films "Uno per Tutti" and "Aspromonte. The land of the last;" and on television in the 3rd season of the Rai series "Tutto può succedere," in the films "Renata Fonte" by Fabio Mollo and "Tutto il mondo è paese" by Giulio Manfredonia about the story of Rieti mayor Mimmo Lucano.
In 2023 we will see him on the big screen in the films "La festa del ritorno" by Lorenzo Adorisio and in "L'ultima notte d'Amore" by Andrea Di Stefano.
