Giulia Ottaviano

Giulia Ottaviano (1987) is an author who has been involved in cultural production for over 10 years. She grew up in Sicily and has lived and worked in Milan, London and Bangalore. She has published fiction and non-fiction books. Since 2018 she lives in Berlin where she is committed to making video art and documentaries on social issues. In 2021 she directed "Schutzengel der Transfrauen: Loredanas Aufstand gegen den Hass" her first reportage produced for the French-German television ARTE. She regularly collaborates with the German broadcaster ARD for the production of short tv reportages. Her video installation "3 Women in a Triptych" is on permanent display at the National Diary Archive in Pieve Santo Stefano. In January 2022, she made a video installation in Virtual Reality in collaboration the theater company Asterlizze and several Italian women's archives.
