Marino Guarnieri (Naples, May 29, 1975) is an Italian director, animator and illustrator. He was the assistant director and editor of the 2013 animated film “L'arte della felicità”, winner of the 2014 European Film Awards, produced by the Neapolitan studio Mad Entertainment. In 2017 he directed, together with Alessandro Rak, Ivan Cappiello and Dario Sansone, the animated feature film “Gatta Cenerentola”, produced by Mad Entertainment and Rai Cinema. The film won many awards, including the Nastro D’Argento and several nominations for the 2018 David di Donatello, a review in which it was awarded the David di Donatello for Best Producer and the David di Donatello for Best Visual Special Effects; it was also selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the association that awards the Oscars, in the short list of 26 films from which the five nominees for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature were chosen. Since 2017 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of ASIFA Italia, the association of Italian animation authors and professionals, of which he was elected president in 2019. In 2021 he was assistant director, scriptwriter and editor of "Yaya and Lennie - The Walking Liberty," directed by Alessandro Rak. |
